She does scrumptious cakes! She studied at the Cordon blue cooking school in France and was the Chef at the Clifton Inn for many years and now she makes delicious cakes and raises sheep!

A few weeks back , I spent the day with her as this is part of my series "behind the scene".
I had no idea it took so long to make a weeding cake. It is a 4-day process.
day-1 :bake the cake and let it cool-
day -2: make filling and put the layers together
day-3: do the frosting and put the cake together
day 4- decorate and deliver
I learned a few things about making a cake you have to be very very patient and precise.
Unfortunately, I could not photograph the delivery part as I had a wedding that weekend. But here is one of my favorite cakes, decorated that Rachel did for Alexandra and Jeremy over a year ago.

Rachel uses local ingredients and whenever possible organic products. She also makes vegan cakes. I tried the chocolate one....yummm.
